Use and maintenance

CRIB MATTRESS CARE ULTIMATE:

Mattress recommended from birth up to approximately 20 kg in weight.

To facilitate its maintenance and hygiene,it is removable and both its woven cover and the foam core of its topper (top part) are washable.Hand wash with cold water is recommended. It can also be washed in the washing machine on a delicate cycle, at a maximum temperature of 30 ºC and without spinning. Use neutral detergent and do not use fabric softener.

Let it air dry. Lay the foam flat to prevent deformation or tearing. Do not use a dryer or nearby heat sources.

Washing the foam core of the base (bottom part) is not recommended.

SOFT MATTRESS PROTECTOR:

This mattress protector is suitable for mini crib mattresses, crib mattresses, and children's mattresses.

To facilitate its maintenance and hygiene, it is recommended to wash with cold water or in the washing machine at a maximum temperature of 30 ºC, on a delicate cycle, without spinning. Use neutral detergent and no fabric softener.

Let it air dry, although there is no problem drying in a dryer on low temperature. For stubborn stains, oxygen-based stain removers can be used, bleach is not recommended.

Exchanges and returns

CRIB MATTRESS CARE ULTIMATE:

Ecus Kids mattresses can be exchanged or returned within a 30 calendar days from delivery. If you need to do so, open an incident in your customer area, explain the reason, and in case of exchange, the desired new item.

Custom-made mattresses cannot be exchanged or returned.

SOFT MATTRESS PROTECTOR:

The core of the Care Ultimate crib mattress is divided into two parts, a base of Oxígena HR foam and the top of reticulated foam.

Its topper features a design in the shape of small pyramids that generate numerous support points, helping to reduce pressure on the baby's head by up to 70%, eliminating the risk of developing plagiocephaly (flat head) or helping to correct it in case it has been diagnosed.

Its shape creates air channels inside that promote oxygen circulation in all directions and the evacuation of CO2, helping to prevent SIDS even if the baby sleeps face down. The Airfeel foam is reticulated, breathable, and water-repellent, so it does not absorb or retain moisture. The Care Ultimate mattress becomes a highly breathable and cool mattress.

The foam base on its underside provides the necessary firmness for a comfortable and safe rest. Its side barriers ensure that the baby always sleeps in the center of the mattress.

Two in one: travel mattress

The Care Ultimate crib mattress has a perimeter zipper that divides the mattress into two parts: the base (white in color) and the topper (made of blue fabric with white areas). This design facilitates its cleaning and maintenance, while also providing a double use for the mattress.

The topper can be used separately as a travel mattress, to place on top of the parents' bed and practice co-sleeping safely, or even as a play mat for the baby.

Soft Tencel fabric

The Soft mattress protector is made of Tencel fabric, a very soft natural fiber that regulates body temperature, perfect for the most sensitive skin. It is very breathable and has an extraordinary moisture absorption relative to skin temperature. It helps maintain a constant temperature and quickly absorbs and releases moisture, preventing condensation.

It does not irritate the skin nor does it allow the growth of bacteria. It is a very lightweight, flexible fabric that does not wrinkle or shrink. What is the difference between the Care mattress and the Care Ultimate mattress?

The difference between the Care mattress and the Care Ultimate mattress lies in the materials and fabrics used. The Care Ultimate mattress is even more breathable, cooler and drier than the Care mattress. Its fabric with Xtra Cool technology made of cold thread, offers a feeling of coolness that does not generate heat, dissipates moisture, and helps regulate temperature. The foam core is also more breathable, as it is very porous and open, and does not retain moisture, keeping the baby dry.

As for functionality, it is the same: both are anti-flat head syndrome mattresses because they reduce pressure on the baby's head by up to 70%, preventing positional plagiocephaly and improving it if the baby already suffers from it. Both are very safe mattresses and also avoid any risk of suffocation. Both have the health certificate from the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products.

Does using a protector reduce the breathability properties of the mattress?

Ecus Kids mattresses are designed for optimal breathability. Using a mattress protector is not necessary, but it is normal for many moms and dads to feel more at ease if you use one.

Naturally, any protector or sheet placed between the mattress and the baby will reduce the breathability properties of the mattress. That is why we recommend using a mattress protector that is as breathable as possible, allowing air to circulate well between its fibers in order to minimize the reduction of breathability properties of the mattress.

At Ecus Kids, we have the waterproof Soft fitted sheet. This super soft sheet to the touch of your baby's skin allows for air circulation and the expulsion of CO2, thus avoiding any risk. You will achieve better maintenance of the mattress, as it will remain dry and ready for the baby to sleep without moisture and without unwanted stains.

How do I know what size mattress is the right one?

To know what the ideal mattress size is, we recommend measuring the interior space of the crib beforehand. Some manufacturers design their cribs with spaces smaller than the published size. That is, even if the crib size is 120×60 cm, it is advisable to measure the interior space to confirm the usable area. If after measuring, the space is slightly smaller or you want more room to dress the crib, then you should choose the size 117×57 cm.

In the mini cribs or bassinets, the size is usually standardized. A variation of a centimeter more or less is negligible, the mattress will adapt to the
mini crib thanks to the flexible materials it is made of.

In case you need a special size, we could custom-make the Care mattress, both for crib and mini crib and bassinet.

For children's mattresses, choose the same size as the base or bed frame that you are going to use. In these models, we do not have custom manufacturing.

Can I wash the foam core in the washing machine?

The foam core of the mini crib and carrycot mattresses, as well as the foam of the topper (top part) of the Care and Care Ultimate crib mattresses, can be hand washed with cold water.

The washing machine on a short program can also be used for delicate items with cold water (no more than 30 ºC), neutral detergent, and no fabric softeners. Do not spin to avoid damaging the foam.

For drying, place the foam horizontally and never hold it with clips, as it could tear. Do not use a dryer or any other heat source (hair dryer, radiators, etc.). Air dry and do not expose to sunlight.

It can take up to 48 hours for the foam to dry completely. Before placing it back inside the cover, make sure it is completely dry.

It is not recommended to wash the foam bases of the crib and maxi crib mattresses.
