Use and maintenance

CARE ULTIMATE MINI CRIB MATTRESS:

Mattress recommended from birth up to approximately 8 kg in weight.

To facilitate its maintenance and hygiene, it is removable and its cover is washable. Hand wash with cold water is recommended. It can also be washed in the washing machine on a delicate cycle, at a maximum temperature of 30 ºC and without spinning. Use neutral detergent and do not use fabric softener.

Let it air dry. Do not use a dryer or nearby heat sources.

Washing the foam core is not recommended.

SOFT MATTRESS PROTECTOR:

This mattress protector is suitable for crib mattresses, cradle mattresses, and children's mattresses.

To facilitate its maintenance and hygiene, it is recommended to wash with cold water or in the washing machine at a maximum temperature of 30 ºC, on a delicate cycle, without spinning. Use neutral detergent and do not use fabric softener.

Let it air dry, although there is no problem drying in a dryer at low temperature. For stubborn stains, oxygen-based stain removers can be used, bleach is not recommended.

Exchanges and returns

MINICUNA CARE ULTIMATE MINI MATTRESS:

Ecus Kids mattresses can be exchanged or returned within a 30 calendar days from delivery. If you need to do so, open an incident in your customer area, explain the reason, and in case of exchange, the desired new item.

Custom-made mattresses cannot be exchanged or returned.

SOFT MATTRESS PROTECTOR:

The core of the Care Ultimate Mini crib mattress is made of Airfeel foam, a reticular foam (perforated and with very open pores), breathable and water-repellent that does not absorb or retain moisture, making it a highly breathable, cool, and safe mattress.

It has a design in the shape of small pyramids that generate numerous support points for the baby's head and body, so that they never rest on the same surface. This helps to reduce pressure on the head by up to 70% of the newborn, preventing plagiocephaly or contributing to its correction if it has already been diagnosed.

This pyramid design also creates air channels inside the mattress so that air circulates freely in all directions, reducing the baby's risk of suffocation or SIDS.

Fresh and breathable fabric

The mattress cover of the Care Ultimate Mini crib is made with a special fabric that uses Xtra-Cool technology. It is a hypoallergenic fabric that combines fibers with cooling properties with ventilated 3D areas, which provides a great feeling of coolness to the touch while dissipating excess heat and moisture in the mattress.

Soft Tencel fabric

The Soft mattress protector is made of Tencel fabric, a very soft natural fiber that regulates body temperature, perfect for the most sensitive skin. It is very breathable and has an extraordinary moisture absorption relative to skin temperature. It helps maintain a constant temperature and quickly absorbs and releases moisture, preventing condensation.

Until what age can the crib mattress be used?

The crib or bassinet is an ideal option for the newborn's rest. Its small size allows the baby to feel more secure, as they have spent many months in the mother's womb, in a quite limited space. By using the crib, we help the baby adapt to their new reality more easily.

The maximum use of the crib or bassinet is usually up to 6 months of age, although there are moms who extend it a little longer. In any case, our mattresses for cribs and carrycots are designed to support weights of between 8-10 kg.

Can I make a size change of the mattress?

Yes. If when testing the mattress at home, you find that it does not fit well in your little one's crib or bed, either because it is too big or too small, you can exchange it for another size within the 30 calendar days for exchanges and returns.

Exchanges are free and there are no collection or new shipping costs if there is a manufacturing defect or if the product is unused and kept in its original packaging.

If the exchange is for an item of equal or higher value, the shipping of the new product will be free.

If the exchange is for an item of lower value, the shipping of the new item will cost 6 € for crib, mini-crib, and carrycot mattress exchanges; and a cost of 12 € for children's mattress exchanges, which will be deducted from the amount to be refunded.

For the Balearic Islands, the shipping cost of the new item is 9 €. For the Canary Islands, the shipping cost of the new item is 15 €.

We recommend that you ensure the interior measurements of the crib or bed are correct, that is, the free space where the mattress should be placed. Also pay attention to the width and length measurement you are choosing before confirming the purchase.

If the mattress shows signs of incorrect or improper use, the exchange will not be accepted.

What firmness of mattress is suitable for a baby?

The ideal is for the mattress to be firm, but a firmness adapted to the baby's weight. If the mattress is too soft, the baby will sink into it and will not sleep safely, as there will be a risk of entrapment and suffocation. We must consider that a baby is not able to turn over by itself when it rolls over at night and ends up face down.

The crib mattress must be firm and at the same time adaptable and comfortable, thus allowing for even distribution of the pressure exerted on the baby's head and reducing the risk of developing plagiocephaly.

It is essential to find that balance to ensure a safe and comfortable rest for your baby, while also promoting healthy growth.

What is the difference between the Care mattress and the Care Ultimate mattress?

The difference between the Care mattress and the Care Ultimate mattress lies in the materials and fabrics used. The Care Ultimate mattress is even more breathable, cooler and drier than the Care mattress. Its fabric with Xtra Cool technology made of cold thread, offers a feeling of coolness that does not generate heat, dissipates moisture, and helps regulate temperature. The foam core is also more breathable, as it is very porous and open, and does not retain moisture, keeping the baby dry.

As for functionality, it is the same: both are anti-flat head syndrome mattresses because they reduce pressure on the baby's head by up to 70%, preventing positional plagiocephaly and improving it if the baby already suffers from it. Both are very safe mattresses and also avoid any risk of suffocation. Both have the health certificate from the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products.
