If your crib has a standard measurement of 120 x 60 cm, both the 120 x 60 cm mattress and the 117 x 57 cm mattress will be valid.

The choice of mattress will depend on the interior space of the crib and the aesthetic taste and comfort of the parents: whether you prefer the mattress to fit more snugly or to have a gap of 1.5 cm on each side to better dress the crib.

We recommend that you measure the interior space of the crib:

Use and maintenance

Recommended mattress from birth up to approximately 20 kg in weight.

To facilitate its maintenance and hygiene, it is removable and its cover is washable. Hand wash with cold water is recommended. It can also be washed in the washing machine on a delicate cycle, at a maximum temperature of 30 ºC and without spinning. Use neutral detergent and do not use fabric softener.

Let it air dry. Do not use a dryer or nearby heat sources.

It is not recommended to wash the foam core.

Exchanges and returns

Ecus Kids mattresses can be exchanged or returned within a 30 calendar days from delivery. If you need to do so, open an incident in your customer area, explain the reason, and in case of exchange, the desired new item.

Custom-made mattresses cannot be exchanged or returned.

The core of the Mimo crib mattress is made of contoured foam which makes it very adaptable. This wavy design allows the mattress to better conform to the body and movements during the night.

Soft and cool fabric

The fabric of the Mimo crib mattress cover is made of Feran Ice, a material soft to the touch, breathable, and cool. Its fibers do not absorb moisture, preventing heat from accumulating between the baby's body and the mattress, thus reducing the risk of suffocation. The baby will stay dry and cool throughout the night.

This mattress is manufactured under the compliance of OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, which guarantees that no toxic or harmful substances to health have been used in its production.

What firmness of mattress is suitable for a baby?

The ideal is for the mattress to be firm, but a firmness adapted to the baby's weight. If the mattress is too soft, the baby will sink into it and will not sleep safely, as there will be a risk of entrapment and suffocation. We must consider that a baby is not able to turn over by itself when it rolls over at night and ends up face down.

The crib mattress must be firm and at the same time adaptable and comfortable, thus allowing for even distribution of the pressure exerted on the baby's head and reducing the risk of developing plagiocephaly.

It is essential to find that balance to ensure a safe and comfortable rest for your baby, while also promoting healthy growth.

Does using a protector reduce the breathability properties of the mattress?

Ecus Kids mattresses are designed for optimal breathability. Using a mattress protector is not necessary, but it is normal for many moms and dads to feel more at ease if you use one.

Naturally, any protector or sheet placed between the mattress and the baby will reduce the breathability properties of the mattress. That is why we recommend using a mattress protector that is as breathable as possible, allowing air to circulate well between its fibers in order to minimize the reduction of breathability properties of the mattress.

At Ecus Kids, we have the waterproof Soft fitted sheet. This super soft sheet to the touch of your baby's skin allows for air circulation and the expulsion of CO2, thus avoiding any risk. You will achieve better maintenance of the mattress, as it will remain dry and ready for the baby to sleep without moisture and without unwanted stains.

Until what age can the crib mattress be used?

Each baby has a different growth rhythm, so there is no single possible answer. When you see that your baby is no longer comfortable, climbs the bars to get out of the crib and/or needs more space to sleep, that will be the ideal time to make the transition from the crib to a junior bed. This stage usually corresponds to around 2 years approximately, although our crib mattresses can be used up to 20 kg in weight.
